Struggles with addiction can feel isolating and exhausting, caught between wanting change and relying on something that offers temporary relief. You may notice cycles of craving, guilt, shame, or feeling out of control, especially during times of stress, pain, or emotional overwhelm.

In therapy, we approach addiction with understanding rather than judgment. Together, we explore the underlying needs, emotions, and patterns that substance use may be trying to manage. Using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, mindfulness, and somatic-informed strategies, we focus on building awareness, regulation skills, and healthier coping tools that support sustainable change.

With support, recovery becomes less about willpower and more about connection, safety, and self-trust. Change is possible, at a pace that feels realistic, respectful, and aligned with your values.

Anxiety, Stress & Overwhelm

Do you feel constantly on edge, caught in racing thoughts, or weighed down by everything you’re carrying? You may notice tension in your body, shallow breathing, restlessness, fatigue, or a nervous system that feels stuck in overdrive, even when you want to relax.

In therapy, we pay attention to both the mind and the body. Together, we explore what’s driving your anxiety and stress while incorporating somatic, mindfulness-based, and CBT-informed approaches to help your nervous system settle. You’ll learn to recognize your body’s signals, build regulation skills, and develop tools to reduce overwhelm in the moment.

With support, your body can begin to feel safer, your thoughts more manageable, and your days less reactive, allowing you to move through life with greater ease, clarity, and resilience.

Anger Management

Does your anger feel intense, quick to surface, or hard to control, or perhaps pushed down until it suddenly spills out? You might notice irritability, frustration, tension in your body, or a sense of being constantly on edge, especially when you feel misunderstood, overwhelmed, or unheard.

In therapy, we approach anger with curiosity and compassion, recognizing it as an important signal rather than a flaw. Together, we explore what’s happening beneath the anger while using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, mindfulness, and somatic strategies to help regulate the nervous system. This work supports greater emotional awareness, healthier expression, and improved communication.

With support, anger can become easier to understand and manage, allowing you to respond with intention, feel more in control of your reactions, and create relationships that feel safer and more connected.

Bipolar Disorder

Living with bipolar disorder can feel disorienting; periods of feeling energized, driven, or expansive may shift into times of heaviness, withdrawal, or self-doubt. It can be hard to recognize when your mood is changing or to trust your sense of reality in the middle of an episode.

In therapy, I work as a steady, attuned presence, meeting you where you are while gently helping you stay connected to reality. Trained to adapt to your emotional state, I take a chameleon approach: matching your pace and energy while supporting awareness, insight, and grounding when things begin to escalate or feel unsteady.

Together, we focus on recognizing early signs of mood shifts, understanding your personal patterns, and developing tools to help you stay regulated and supported. With time, this work can strengthen stability, self-trust, and your ability to navigate episodes with greater clarity and confidence.

Depression & Hopelessness

Depression can feel heavy and isolating, like moving through life with a weight you can’t put down. You may feel emotionally numb, exhausted, disconnected from yourself or others, or stuck in a sense of hopelessness that makes it hard to imagine things changing.

In therapy, we move at your pace, honoring how difficult it can be to simply show up. Together, we gently explore what’s contributing to the heaviness while using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, mindfulness, and somatic-informed strategies to support both emotional and nervous system regulation. This work focuses on rebuilding energy, meaning, and self-compassion, one small step at a time.

With support, the fog can begin to lift. Hope doesn’t have to arrive all at once; it can be rebuilt slowly, safely, and in a way that feels real, helping you reconnect with yourself, your relationships, and your sense of possibility.

Grief & Loss

Grief changes everything. Whether you’re mourning the loss of a loved one, a relationship, a role, or a future you imagined, the pain can feel overwhelming, unpredictable, and deeply personal. You may notice waves of sadness, numbness, anger, longing, or even guilt, sometimes all at once.

In therapy, there is no timeline or “right way” to grieve. We create a compassionate space to honor your loss while supporting your emotional and nervous system needs. Using mindfulness, somatic-informed practices, and gentle reflection, we work together to help you stay grounded as you process what has been lost and what is still unfolding.

With support, grief doesn’t disappear, but it can soften and make room for meaning, connection, and moments of relief. You don’t have to carry this alone.

Body Image

Your relationship with your body is deeply personal and often shaped by past experiences, expectations, and messages you’ve absorbed over time. You may find yourself feeling disconnected from your body, overly critical of how it looks or functions, or stuck in cycles of comparison, control, or shame.

In therapy, we approach body image work with intention and curiosity. Rather than focusing on fixing or judging your body, we explore how your body has learned to protect, respond, and communicate. Using somatic-informed practices alongside mindfulness and reflective work, we focus on rebuilding trust with your body, learning to notice sensations, boundaries, and needs with greater compassion.

With support, your body can become less of a battleground and more of a place of safety and agency. Over time, this work can help you feel more grounded, connected, and at home in yourself.

ADHD

Do you find it hard to stay focused, manage time, or follow through on tasks, despite your best intentions? You may feel restless, overwhelmed by decisions, or sensitive to your environment, and wonder why things that seem easy for others feel so exhausting.

In therapy, we work together to better understand how ADHD shows up in your life and develop strategies that actually fit you. Using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, mindfulness, and practical skill-building, we focus on strengthening attention, organization, emotional regulation, and communication.

With support, you can learn to work with your brain instead of against it. Building confidence, completing tasks more consistently, and creating relationships that feel more connected and sustainable.

Family Conflict

Family relationships can be some of the most meaningful, and sometimes most challenging, connections in our lives. Conflicts may leave you feeling frustrated, misunderstood, or disconnected from the people you love most. Patterns of blame, avoidance, or emotional withdrawal can make it hard to feel safe, heard, or close.

Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I help families and individuals identify and express underlying emotions, understand relational patterns, and create stronger, more secure connections. Together, we focus on fostering empathy, repairing ruptures, and building communication that feels authentic and safe.

With guidance and practice, it becomes possible to navigate disagreements with intention, reconnect on a deeper level, and cultivate family relationships that are both resilient and supportive.

LGBTQ+

Being LGBTQ+ can shape how you experience relationships, safety, and belonging. You may be navigating identity exploration, coming out, relationship challenges, family rejection, or the lingering impact of feeling unseen or misunderstood in important connections.

Therapy offers a space where your identity is affirmed and your experiences are taken seriously. Drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and attachment-based approaches, we focus on understanding emotional needs, strengthening secure connections, and repairing relational wounds. This work supports deeper self-acceptance, clearer communication, and relationships that feel safer and more fulfilling.

You don’t need to explain or defend who you are here. Therapy is a place to be met with respect, curiosity, and care, so you can build relationships, including the one with yourself, that feel authentic and secure.

OCD

OCD can feel relentless, intrusive thoughts that won’t let go, urges to seek certainty, or repetitive behaviors meant to reduce anxiety, even when they don’t bring lasting relief. You may feel trapped in cycles of doubt, fear, or mental checking that take up more space than you want them to.

In therapy, we work with both the thoughts and the body responses that keep OCD going. Together, we explore how anxiety shows up in your nervous system while also addressing patterns of thinking, reassurance-seeking, and avoidance. Using a blend of evidence-based approaches, including cognitive strategies, mindfulness, somatic awareness, and exposure-informed work, we focus on building tolerance for uncertainty and reducing the power OCD has over your daily life.

With support, it becomes possible to relate differently to intrusive thoughts, respond with intention rather than compulsion, and create more freedom around how you think, feel, and act.

Phobias

Phobias can feel overwhelming and limiting, an intense fear response that shows up quickly and can be hard to control, even when you know you’re safe. You may find yourself avoiding certain situations, places, objects, or experiences, which can slowly shrink your world and increase anxiety over time.

In therapy, we work gently and strategically to reduce fear and build confidence. Using evidence-based approaches such as gradual exposure, cognitive strategies, mindfulness, and grounding techniques, we focus on helping your nervous system learn that it can tolerate and move through fear. This work is paced intentionally, with safety, consent, and collaboration.

With the right support, phobias can lose their grip. Over time, you can feel more in control, less avoidant, and more free to engage in your life without fear making the decisions for you.

PTSD and Trauma

PTSD is not just something you think about; it’s something your body remembers. Even when you know you’re safe, your nervous system may stay alert, reactive, or shut down. You might feel hijacked by sensations, emotions, or impulses that don’t seem to match the present moment.

This work is practical and paced. Therapy focuses on somatic awareness, learning to notice what your body is doing before reactions take over, alongside cognitive and skills-based strategies that restore choice and control. We work with grounding, orientation, and regulation rather than pushing you to relive the trauma or explain it before you’re ready.

The goal is not to “get over” what happened, but to help your body recognize when it is no longer in danger. With support, your responses can soften, your capacity can expand, and your life can feel governed more by the present than by the past.

Relationships and Couples

Most relationship conflicts aren’t about communication skills or who’s “right.” They’re about moments of disconnection, when one partner reaches and the other pulls away, and both feel unheard, unsafe, or alone.

In couples therapy, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the EFT Tango to slow these moments down and make them visible. The Tango helps us identify what happens in real time: the trigger, the emotions underneath, the moves each partner makes, and the deeper needs that are often left unspoken. From there, we work toward new interactions that create safety, responsiveness, and emotional closeness.

This process isn’t about assigning blame or fixing one person. It’s about changing the pattern between you. With support, couples can move out of cycles of conflict or distance and into relationships that feel more secure, connected, and resilient.

Self-Esteem & Body Image

Are you feeling stuck in self-criticism, constantly comparing yourself to others, or disconnected from your body and your worth? You might move through your day second-guessing yourself, measuring your value by how you look, perform, or are perceived, never quite feeling “enough.”

This work is about shifting the relationship you have with yourself. In therapy, we slow down the inner dialogue that keeps you small and examine where these beliefs came from, how they’re reinforced, and what they cost you. Using a blend of reflective, relational, and somatic-informed approaches, we focus on building self-trust, self-respect, and a more compassionate internal voice.

Over time, self-esteem becomes less about approval and more about alignment. Your body becomes less of a problem to manage and more of a place you can inhabit with intention, steadiness, and care.

I offer a compassionate, affirming space where you can explore your sexual identity safely and without judgment. Through therapy, I help you reconnect with your sense of self, feel more empowered in your choices, and strengthen the ways you relate to others. My goal is for you to leave sessions feeling seen, supported, and more grounded in who you are.
